Vic, Vicki, Victoria and now "The Duchess" is a daughter of UVM Pembroke. She was recently puchased from Jane Cookson of Greenwood Farm of Victor, Montana. Jane was the previous owner of our herd stallion, UVM Pembroke.

The Duchess had several years of layoff when she arrived, but we could see the Pembroke hocks, willingness and trainability trying to push through.

She jumped into the show ring with little training or expectation from us, but in her first season she took third in open dressage at Pebble Beach, California and also did well at the Mother Lode Show in Santa Rosa, California.

She has come on strong over the winter and responded beautifully to the training of Jec Ballou. We expect her to do well during the 2007 season and beyond.

We expect her to enjoy a competition career for the next three years and then to retire to her broodmare duties for the farm.

She resides at the training facility in Los Gatos, California.
